 Reptile & Amphibian Day      March 12, 2005

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences    Raleigh, NC

Once again, my Reptile Club at school assisted me in setting up an exhibit on boas at the annual Reptile & Amphibian Day at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. This is the largest event of its kind in the country. Last year, 14,500 attended in a single day. I did not get word of the attendance this year. We set up an exhibit with a tri-fold poster display, books, informational handouts, lots of shed skins, and five boas. Another memorable and exhausting day. Amazing to see how many minds were changed by a having a real encounter with a boa. We definitely won some new fans. Sorry for the limited supply of lousy photos. We were short-handed so I only got the chance to grab the camera when the crowd had thinned out some.
