 Shipping

I have legal shipping status to ship with FedEx. My animals are shipped out in packages that are clearly labeled as containing live boa constrictors. I also offer international shipping - you can read more about this option at this link. I currently offer the following method for domestic shipping of your animal:

  1. FedEx Priority Overnight service (Overnight door-to-door service)
For convenience, this service can't be beat.  I prepare the package and drop it off at a FedEx facility near the school where I teach. This FedEx facility is the last pickup (7 pm) on the way to the sorting facility at the airport (only 10 minutes away). The animal will travel to FedEx's central sorting facility in Memphis TN before being routed to your location. I use Priority Overnight shipping so as long as you're not in a remote area, the package is guaranteed to arrive at your door by 10:30 the following morning. From my experiences, the package is usually delivered before 10 am to your door. Therefore, total transit time is usually limited to 12-18 hours. I use insulated shipping containers (see details below) and 40 hour heat packs, 60 hour heat packs, or cold packs if warranted by the conditions. I will check the weather forecast for Raleigh, Memphis (the location of FedEx's central sorting facility), and your location before shipping an animal. Unless we agree to alternative arrangements, I will only ship if the temperature is forecast to stay between 30-90 F. The cost of this service is included in my prices. Once I schedule the shipment, I will email you the tracking number so that you can track the package at FedEx's web site (fedex.com). I only schedule shipments for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Thursday shipments are not an option because one problem will lead to the animal being stranded in a warehouse for the weekend.
